March 7-9: Saar Snoek, Nature-Nurture, Exploratory Textural Sculptures
Materials List
You will need:
- Fine wool (up to 21 micron max) in different colours. Muted (earth tones) and bright colours.
- 300-400 grams total
- Olive Oil soap (bar)
- Browser/spray bottle
- Glasshead pins
- Large sewing needles
- Sharp scissors and hobby scissors
- Tape measure
- Drawing/writing material
- Sewing thread in dark and bright colours
- Wire brush (copper wire) and felting tools if you have them (ribbed stick, mouse shaped tool, etc.)
- Extra material to embellish: old pieces of finished felt and prefelt pieces to cut up, pieces of nuno felt, thin fabric like cotton gauze, margilan silk, organza (3.0 momme), silk roving, alpaca curls, wool balls—Bring an assortment of items you have from your stash. You don’t have to bring everything, just some small amounts, leftovers or small cuttings will be fine. You can trade materials with the other workshop participants.
Some materials will be provided for you for the small workshop fee of $20.00, including bubble wrap, laminate floor underlay, water bucket, towels, permanent markers, thin painter plastic and table risers.
This fee will be payable before the start of the workshop.
