Project Description
Colour Collaboration
Colour. Pattern. Texture.
Vibrant colours and contrasts in the finest silks and wools, combined to create a collection of elegant scarves, wraps, and clothing.
These pieces are a celebration in colour, designed to be flattering, dynamic and uplifting.
Color Collaboration presents the work of Ellen Bakker (The Netherlands) and Fiona Duthie (Canada).
Ellen’s work finds its origins in her many years of experience as a graphic designer. Her designs are characterized by a combination of graphic patterns, transparency and special color combinations. Ellen thinks in colors and shapes, which she translates into hand-painted or digital designs on silk and many other types of fabric.
Fiona is a feltmaker recognized for her dynamic surface design, exploring form, material and colors to build tactile metaphors. She is continuously drawn to wearables for the way they become expressive, dynamic sculptures when worn on the human body. Color and form brought to life, individually by the wearer.
Colour Collaboration invites viewers into a bold, colorful world imbued with a sense of celebration.
