Felt Illuminated

Wool and Illumination are a very powerful combination, whether that illumination is from a power source or passive, using the sun.

It is soft and warm, and can be created to reveal quite different appearances when unlit, and lit. The illumination can be used to reveal patterns and narrative unseen in the form without this interaction.  

Illuminated felt is beautiful both in everyday household items, and also in sculpture or installation. 

Through the last 12 years, I’ve exhibited illuminated felt at craft shows, interior design shows and in galleries, as well as in outdoor installations. It is a passion of mine and one I explore as often as possible.  This is a small collection of some of these pieces.
